Tres Patines y La Tremenda Corte

Adapted and directed by Francis Parra

Tres Patines y La Tremenda Corte, adapted and directed by Francis Parra, October 17 - 27. Tres Patines pays tribute to one of Latin America’s most beloved comedians, Leopoldo Fernández whose alter ego, the hapless José Candelario (Tres Patines) entertained generations of Latin Americans. The production is presented in Spanish with English super titles. Tickets and 2024/25 Season Subscriptions are available now at www.teatroecas.org.

Born in Cuba in 1904, Leopoldo Fernández is one of Latin America’s most influential performers. Although he worked extensively in theater, his most successful series was La Tremenda Corte, a radio and then television show, launched in 1941. When Fidel Castro came to power in 1959, Fernández was exiled to Miami where he continued performing until his death in 1985.
